    Viivo folder, doing standard backup?

    question
    if I have dropbox
    and a subfolder of SECURE-VIIVO
and that is the folder viivo points to to store encrypted files

if I turn viivo OFF (exit)

and I do a backup of the SECURE-VIIVO folder, to an external USB drive

are these files still usable, to be able to be decrypted, if brought back to a viivo folder, and viivo was re-started?

I am looking at an appropriate backup scenario for offline USB DISK storage

ALSO, if the encrypted ....viivo files are copied (while viivo is off) to another viivo encrypted folder, and viivo is restarted, are those files in the destination folder accessible, decryptable, in that new folder location?

    thanks

As long as you have Viivo installed and know your password, the Viivo files can be decrypted no matter where they are stored.

    so, just to clarify
if I copy as a file, when viivo is not runninga

and I then later move/copy/transfer them to a different folder, or drive, and then open viivo, same user and password
    they will open OK?

so in essence they are like a ZIPPED file, self contained, and viivo can open them wherever they are at?
    just trying to clarify
    thanks

Yes, actually Viivo files are ZIP files.
