    Viivo is converting symbolic link into folder

    I've noticed that Viivo is encrypting a symbolic link to a folder as a folder.

    Here is the symbolic link and the folder it points to:

    drwxr-xr-x  20 mw  staff      680 16 Jun 12:17 Masters
    lrwxr-xr-x   1 mw  staff        9  9 Apr  2015 Originals -> ./Masters
    Here you see the file sizes:

    $ du -h Originals
    4.0K	Originals
    $ du -h Masters | grep -v /
     92G	Masters
    In the encrypted area it looks like this:

    drwxr-xr-x  18 mw  staff     612  1 Jan 13:45 Masters
    drwxr-xr-x  18 mw  staff     612 16 Jun 12:17 Originals
    $ du -h Originals | grep -v /
     91G	Originals
    So the symbolic link Originals is now a folder containing 91 GB.

    The real issue is that the encrypted area is synced into the cloud and that the Originals symbolic link is touched frequently and this is then causing the cloud sync to re-upload all content of the Original folder.

    In my mind, the symbolic link should be encrypted as a file as that's what a symbolic link is essentially as it has it's own inode entry.

    Or is there a way of telling Viivo whether to follow links or not?
